God can pick some unexpected ways to show a glimpse of His glory. For me, recently, the occasion was an unexpected car repair. That wasn’t so glorious, but the extra hour and a half that was needed gave me an opportunity to browse around at a nearby farm supply store, and that was an awe-inspiring visit.

With the Awana season just completed, I'd like to say “Thank You” and “Well Done!” to the team of leaders and volunteers that served in our Wednesday night ministries.

Is the example of your lifestyle worth following?  My morning devotional reading included this statement by the apostle, Paul:

“Be imitators of me, just as I also am of Christ.”

On Sunday evenings, we have been focusing on Bible study techniques. At the time of this writing, we have two more sessions ahead; and next month, we plan to use these techniques in four Sunday nights of studying Jesus’ parables about the kingdom of heaven (beginning February 14). One topic that I haven’t taken time to address during our current series is the matter of translations. Here is a quick word about several translations that I use and recommend.

Scripture instructs us not to worry about anything. It’s not just an instruction, it’s a command. There’s a tall order!
