Immanuel Baptist Church offers Puggles (2-3), Cubbies (Preschool), Sparks (K-2), T&T (3-6), and Trek (7-12). We start at 6:30 and end at 8:00.

Awana is a great way for kids to learn about God's love.

Few months will have such a variety of opportunities as this month: to see and hear how God has been working, and to be a part of His ongoing work.

In September, Immanuel will celebrate fifty years of ministry in Cedar Rapids. Details are located inside this newsletter. I hope that you will plan to attend, whether you have been here for decades or whether you’ve recently joined (as I did, three years ago).
With this celebration just one month away, here are three application points from God’s word, to assist us in this remembrance.

A special week to gather together and focus on God's goodness can hardly be shrugged at.  The Father's calendar for His covenant people in the Old Testament included periodic week-long gatherings to worship and remember His grace. These included the feast of tabernacles and the feast of unleavened bread.

Here’s an update on the work of the Ministry Expansion Committee, along with a word of encouragement for each of us to participate in the growth of Immanuel. As you may know, the Ministry Expansion Committee has been considering a number of ways to enhance our ministries. Here is a brief list of some of the ideas under consideration:

Whether I am reading current events on this topic in print, online, or hearing or viewing broadcast media, I seek to calibrate my thinking and response from a biblical worldview. With that goal in mind, here are five truths offered as biblical guidance. This is admittedly not all that the Bible has to say on this issue, but these are briefly offered as guiding lights with Scripture references provided.
